Blepharoplasty, Rhytidectomy and Facial Laser Skin Resurfacing

Posted .

Our faces age in two ways. Gravity and elasticity play their role as we celebrate our birthdays. To counter those effects we have surgery that helps place tissue back where it should be and re-contours our faces.

The second way our faces age is via our skin’s surface that like a road becomes weathered. The first signs of this part of the aging process can begin as early as in our twenties when we start to lose our bright shiny faces. They are replaced by corrugated two toned skin that can develop acne, acne pitting, rosacea, pigmented lesions and accident related scarring.  Laser resurfacing of the face that employs a carefully controlled burn that removes the aged layers revealing a fresh new revitalized skin.

In my practice every patient is offered five complimentary erbium/yag laser treatments following their surgeries. Not because of philanthropy but because this way the surgery and the laser skin treatment add up to a total  rejuvenation of the face.
