This has happened to just about everybody: you look in the mirror and you cannot recognize the person, seeing only the culminated result of the aging process. We all swear that it took place overnight, but in reality the change is always so slow that we do not notice it from day to day. The reality of age hits us when enough change has occurred for us to stop and notice ourselves before we rush out the door.
Our realization of aging is sudden, but it is the result of a slow process. We can turn back a few of those years but that process is also not one of immediate gratification. For example: it took years for our facial skin to become two toned, pitted and rough; and it will take several laser sessions to improve and rejuvenate the skin. Patience and time are important in whatever direction we are going.
